PA Ex-Con Wanted In Two Counties Attacks His Own Family: Police

Three family members were attacked by a former convict who previously served prison time for assault and armed robbery and is wanted on charges in two central Pennsylvania counties, according to police and court records.

Naphtali Ishmel Denmead Carter III, 32, of Highspire, is wanted by police following the assault that happened in a home in the first Block of Franklin Street on Wednesday, Mar. 16, according to a release by Highspire Borough police.

Carter is charged with 3 counts of misdemeanor Simple Assault in Dauphin County, according to court records.

He previously was sentenced to serve five to 10 years for a bizarre armed robbery in 2010, whereupon fleeing he changed his clothes in the street, according to a report by PennLive at the time.

More recently, he entered a Mechanicsburg man’s home, strangled him, and assaulted another person in 2021, and that case is still in process, as CBS 21 reports and court records confirm.

He also is currently facing a DUI charge in Cumberland County, according to court records.
